19 new books I'm looking forward to this year

A thoughtful selection amidst many options

As is always the case in early January, I've been compiling a list of new books coming out this year that I'm excited about. But compared with years past, I've been extra intentional about what I add to my list this year. I'm leaning into my intuition and taste and being extra thoughtful before adding things to my TBR.

We're all overwhelmed by the deluge of entertainment choices. So this year, instead of immediately feeling paralyzed by the number of options, I'm being intentional about what I include in my lists and happily missing out on the rest.

Hopefully, this will leave room for serendipitous reading experiences and the joy of discovery. We'll see how it goes! So, here is my list of books I'm excited about this year—the ones I'll eagerly hunt down copies of and can't wait to spend time with.
