Happy (unofficial) start of summer! How was your long Memorial Day weekend? I spent the long weekend soaking up the sun (so much sun) in Florida with a good friend. We spent a lot of time by the pool, ventured to the beach, and lived out our Below Deck dreams by cruising the Intracoastal on a yacht, where we spent the tour sipping cocktails, mansion ogling, and listening to the tour guide share local gossip.
I had high hopes of reading a few books on our trip, but I managed to finish just one. But I'm okay with that because it meant lots of time chit-chatting. All in all, it was a good kickoff to summer.
And I returned home on Monday afternoon to Maine finally in full bloom! Summer season is descending here with the wildflowers starting to show their faces, the grass turning a lush green, and the streets being a little more crowded with jovial vacationers.
With the kickoff of summer also comes the kickoff of summer reading season! I launched my All Things Summer Reading Guide on Sunday. I spent part of my travel day on Monday perusing the many lists that have been published over the past few weeks. I know it can be overwhelming with so many to choose from. So today, I'm sharing some of the guides and summer reading resources I love most.
