One of my goals for this year is to be more intentional with my media diet. There is literally a deluge of options when it comes to what to read, watch, and listen to. And honestly, I don't think we—as humans—are meant to have this many choices.
So as the new year rolled in, I set an intention: to be more thoughtful about where I spend my attention (because we do live in the attention economy), especially when it comes to reading. Last year, I let go of the word should in my reading life, and this felt like a nice, natural next step.
Now that we're inching toward the halfway point of the year, I have been reflecting on what I’ve read so far. And I thought it might be fun to chat: what have you loved reading this year?
I'll go first: I’ve read 36 books so far and rated 10 of them five stars. That surprised and delighted me!
