Late last summer, I read The Breakaway by Jennifer Weiner. Not a love story, per se, but there were elements of romance in the story. It was a fun & quick read that inspired some adventurous wanderlust, too.
so glad you shared this! i've been reading some slower literary fiction lately, and i'm in the mood for something lighter and breezier (especially since it's almost summer). i'll start here!
This just made my insides tingle with warmth!! This HAS to be the summer I finally read Mystic Summer and Nora Goes Off Script. Has.To.
I read Evvie Drake in my early romance days when I was still a bit lukewarm to the genre— I do think if I reread it I’d enjoy it more now. I’ve been hesitant about Flying Solo simply because of my time with Evvvie but I think I’m ready to give it a go!
You MUST read Nora! It's such a quick one, too, and I feel like you would really enjoy it. I liked Flying Solo but not as much as Evvie Drake, so I'd say if the premise of Flying Solo doesn't appeal to you then it might worth skipping for you!
What a great list! I especially love Holmes' and Monaghan's books. I was lucky enough to get an early copy of Summer Romance and it was my favorite of Monaghan's three novels! Another recent romance novel that I really enjoyed and might fit with this list was "Truly, Madly, Deeply". (Not officially a summer read but part of it does take place at a lake!)
I'm so happy to hear that Summer Romance is your favorite of her three, I'm really looking forward to it! And now I'll have to check out Truly, Madly, Deeply. Thank you!
I recently devoured Happy Place - my first book by EH! (Saw it at the library and grabbed it on a whim, not being much of a romance reader.) Which of her books would you suggest reading next?
I looooove a summery romance read 😍 I just finished This Summer Will Be Different and I loved it!! I'm planning to post a review on my IG this week. Also, I have One Last Summer and Summer Romance on my TBR too!

I loved that one so much! It inspired me to look into planning a bicycle vacation someday ◡̈
Me too! There’s an inn to inn bike trip in VT!
A Perfect Vintage has been on my TBR forever!! I need to get to it this year. Seven Days in June by Tia Williams is a great summer romance read too!
Ah, yes! I always hear such great things about that one.
Have you read Tia Williams new one? A love song for Ricki Wilde. I am in the middle of reading and it's pretty good so far.

Yay! I can't wait to see what you end up reading <3
I’m looking for a couple beach reads for my trip in June and can’t wait to choose from your list!
The perfect pairing ◡̈
We have such similar tastes in this niche genre, Michelle! I have loved so many of these, but also found a few to add to my summer TBR ❤️
So happy to hear that! ◡̈

I read an early copy of Jane Rosen's Seven Summer Weekends and I loved it, too!
I’m so excited to hear that!
These are great recommendations! I'm looking forward to my copy of Carley Fortune's latest book arriving in the mail tomorrow.
I’m reading it right now and it’s so much fun ◡̈
I just plowed right through Emily Henry's Funny Story also. Your other summer reads are all on my TBR list!

I’d suggest Book Lovers! It’s my favorite one because it’s such a bookish treat. But you really can’t go wrong with any of them, in my opinion ☺️
I can't wait to read them all now.
So good, right!?
I just read Savor It - Tarah DeWitt (out May 21st) and it is such a good summery romance that I strongly recommend.
Just looked it up and it sounds so fun! Added it to my, thanks for sharing!
OOooh, totally saved this one! One Italian Summer has been on my list for a while... I may have to just get it this weekend!
