A photo diary from the month

One thing I’ve been working on this year is taking more photos of my own life. Since becoming a full-time photographer four years ago, my personal photo practice has waxed and waned. But I love having a visual record of my days. I’m constantly scrolling through my camera roll when Dean and I are asking, "wait, what did we do for your birthday five years ago?" Photos help me remember, and that’s part of why I love them.

I had a strong start to this practice in January and then eased up a bit in February. Perhaps because February felt quieter, we had more time at home and were in full hibernation mode. I’ve also been more intentional about limiting screen time, which naturally meant my phone was tucked away more often.

Today I’m sharing snapshots from the month. A small photo diary, if you will.
