Thanks for recommending The Last Animal, it sounds like a great story! I really enjoyed The Frozen River and want to explore Ariel Lawhon’s backlist.

This sounds like something my husband might like! I love that we're getting more and more novels that are fiction but have climate themes. Sarah Grunder Ruiz is a new to me author and I hope to read her backlist soon.

I've been wanting to read this book since it came out last year, it sounds incredible. I discovered Tamsyn Muir's The Locked Tomb series last month and am obsessed with her now, if you like slightly insane sci-fi/fantasy she's right up your alley.

Ooh! This was not on my radar at all. I finished O Beautiful by Jung Yun not too long ago and I absolutely loved her writing. I want to explore more of her backlist.

I am so intrigued by The Last Animal!

A favorite new-to-me author is Ann Patchett! I didn’t ~love~ Tom Lake, but I really liked her writing style so I’m excited to get into some of her backlist titles!

I LOVED this book but I don't own my own copy to re-read. She is a new auto-buy author for sure. I also devoured the Bullet Swallower by Elizabeth Gonzalez James, and I immediately picked up her first novel Mona at Sea.

Oh this does sound good! I dont think I heard anyone talk about it, really. But I love reading new to me authors. I just read (listened) to "Thank you For Listening" and I was so excited about it! It's SO well written.

I really enjoyed The Last Animal when I read it last year! Definitely want to read more by this author. And how cute is that cover!! My current obsession (and I'm pretty sure I'm not alone in this) is The Ministry of Time (out in May). Really hope the BBC adaptation happens.

As a biologist myself, I have been so excited to read The Last Animal! Recently, I read Birnam Wood (incredible) and have become obsessed with Eleanor Catton after hearing her interviewed about the book.

Okay my brain is churning right now. I heard this author speak somewhere and I can't figure out where or when! But thank you for sharing this -- I will absolutely be picking this up!

As I think you know, my favorite author I've discovered lately is Henry Hoke!
