Love knowing a little more about you! I strongly resonate with the majority of your recs, and consider your Substack an important part of my book curating process. Thank you so much! Just finished The Couples by Lauren Mackenzie, another win.🏅
This is such a clever way to introduce yourself! I had no idea you studied music. My Nana did the same. Studied piano but ended up being a reading teacher. I went to a fine + performing arts magnet middle and high school and focused on studio art but dabbled a bit in piano and dance. It was a really unique experience and I'm grateful for how it molded me. This post convinced me to pick up something by Lizzy Dent soon!
So cool, Kuleigh! I think even if we don’t end up pursuing the art we study when we’re younger it’s such a great way of learning about and appreciating creativity and beauty that really sticks with you in so many ways as you get older!

I loved this intro so very much. You are a beautiful writer, photographer and artist! I can’t wait to dig into your top books especially The Country Girls!
This was such a fun post, Michelle!! So glad that bookstagram brought us together in NYC ❤️ And I still think about our early Literary League NYC meetings sometimes- we’re still going strong! 🤗
This is a fun post idea, love the bookseller angle and seeing your staff picks:) Someday I will read The Dutch House, that's one of the books I've always wondered about. I'm also a huge cat lover, they are the best reading companions
Thank you, Madeline! So very kind of you 🤍
Congratulations on many many lovely books years Michelle! Meeting your ‘bookseller’ is such a fun post concept - I loved it!
Thank you, Martha!

CT girlie here! I'm a 203, which one were you? Loved getting to know a bit more about you, Michelle!
Thanks, Rachel! I’m 860 ☺️
Love your kitties!!!
I love ‘em too! 😻 do you have kitties at home of your own?
It’s still so crazy to me just how much we have in common! CT -> Boston -> NYC -> Maine! ♥️
So wild! We have to catch up over a coffee soon ☺️
Is the discount only for new subscribers? Would like to use this chance to move to an annual subscription 🫶

It’s a bit of a process, but it’s the best workaround I’ve found until Substack makes it easier ☺️ here are some instructions, too, about canceling: https://support.substack.com/hc/en-us/articles/360037489252-How-do-I-cancel-my-paid-subscription-on-Substack
This worked! 🫶
Amazing!

They truly are! And I feel like The Dutch House would be right up your alley, Renee!
Loved your fantasy bookshop aesthetic! It definitely matches mine. ❤️📚❤️
This was so much fun to read! Love the "Staff Recs" shelf :)
I always loved seeing little glimpses of what you were recommending on your shelves! It's one of my favorite parts of visiting a bookstore ◡̈
I absolutely loved this!! Congrats on two years.
Thanks, Alisha! I love this little corner of the internet ◡̈
