The 2024 All Things Holiday Reading Guide
A guide to 27 holiday reading recommendations for a dose of festivity
Hello, readers! I'm excited to share my holiday reading guide with you today as we celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday this weekend here in the US and head into the height of the holiday season. I love nothing more than a curated, thoughtful seasonal reading guide. Though summer reading gets the most airtime, I wanted to carry the tradition into another favorite reading season: holiday reads.
Are you looking to add a touch of festivity to your reading life this season? The guide is chock full of my holiday reading recommendations. I've read some really great ones (that you'll find in this guide) and some really mediocre ones (that I didn't include in the guide).
In 2018, I discovered holiday reads. I stocked my TBR that year and spent December reading exclusively holiday books. That proved too much for me, but I loved the spirit of it. So since then, I've peppered 2-3 holiday titles into my December reading.
You'll find a mix of literary, contemporary, and romance reads in this guide. You'll find complicated family dynamics, cozy cottages, laugh-out-loud romantic comedies, snow falling, and stories with a touch of magic. With the rush of the holiday season, why not carve out a bit of time to get lost in a great, festive book?
Also included in the guide are a handful of my favorite bookish items that would make a perfect gift for the book lovers in your life (or, perhaps, yourself!)
